Ben Hogan Award
The Ben Hogan Award is presented by the Golf Writers of America to the person in the world who has made the greatest comeback from injury or illness in the current year. It was inspired by the comeback of Ben Hogan after his accident. Previous winners include former President Eisenhower, Babe Zaharias, Lee Trevino, Patty Berg, Gene Littler and Fuzzy Zoeller.

Graffis Award
The Graffis Award is presented by The National Golf Foundation for contributions to golf and has been awarded to Arnold Palmer, and Jack Nicklaus among others.

Lifetime Member of the PGA
I am one of 6 honorary lifetime members of the PGA of America. Others are Former President Gerald Ford, Bob Hope and Gary Player.

Dennis Walters Courage Award
The Dennis Walters Courage award is presented by The International Network of Golf to a person who has demonstrated courage in overcoming odds to participate and contribute to the game of golf.

2000 University of North Texas Athletic Hall of Fame
DENNIS WALTERS -- A four-year member of the North Texas golf team from 1968-71, Walters helped lead the Eagles to a fourth consecutive Missouri Valley Conference championship. Despite being paralyzed in a golf cart accident two years after leaving North Texas, Walters continues to be involved in golf as an inspirational speaker and host of "The Dennis Walters Golf Show."

The Mary Bea Porter Award
The Mary Bea Porter award is presented by the Metropolitan Golf Writers and recognizes an individual in golf who, through a heroic or humanitarian act, saves lives or betters the lives of others.

The Golf Digest Junior Achievement Award
This award presented by Golf Digest recognizes Dennis's contribution to the promotion of junior golf in America.
